Meet Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City's Chris Redfield In New Video
Learn more about the character played by Robbie Amell in the upcoming movie.
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City takes viewers back to the titular city where a corporation unleashed a virus that turned people into zombies. The new movie arrives in theaters on November 24, and we have a closer look at Chris Redfield.
Playing Redfield is Robbie Amell (Upload), and in the new video, he and director Johannes Roberts talk about the character and how the character plays into the larger story. Check out the Resident Evil movie clip below to see more.
"Chris Redfield is a small town hero," says director Johannes Roberts. "And now, he's part of the Raccoon City police force… Chris has to become more than just the small town hero. He has to become this action hero.
"Umbrella Corporation has a virus and the virus infects the city," says Amell. "What's really cool about our movie is that it is very much an adaptation of the games. It's like I'm living in the video game, and it's really, really exciting."
The film stars Kaya Scodelario (Crawl, The Maze Runner) as Claire Redield, Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and the Wasp) as Jill Valentine, Neal McDonough (The Flash) as William Birkin, Avan Jogia (Zombieland) as Leon Kennedy, and Tom Hopper (Black Sails) as Albert Wesker. Roberts wrote and directed the film.
All week, GameSpot will have a closer look at others from the upcoming Resident Evil movie. So far, we've already met Scodelario as Claire. Keep coming back every day this week to see a new video of another character from the film.
