Medieval: Total War demo available

Activision has released a playable demo of Medieval: Total War, its upcoming 3D real-time strategy game. The 235MB demo contains one single-player mission and eight tutorial missions from the full version of the game. GameSpot Complete subscribers can download the demo from the links below, and GameSpot Basic users can get it from the GameSpot Download Manager.

Medieval: Total War is the upcoming sequel to EA's popular real-time strategy game Shogun: Total War. The new game will feature a number of improvements on its predecessor, including better graphics, streamlined controls, and new historical scenarios. The game will feature a combination of turn-based empire building and real-time battles. Players will control one of 12 nations through 400 years of medieval history, and they must oversee the growth and development of their empire by managing resources, trade, diplomacy, and military conquest. The game's powerful 3D engine will support more than 10,000 troops per battle.
