Matrox - the first PC graphics-card manufacturer to provide the ability to drive two monitors through a single graphics board - announced today its next-generation product, the Millenium G450. An enhanced version of the previous G400 chip, the G450 brings a more-efficient .18 micron process, support for DDR memory, and a secondary RAMDAC to improve DualHead, two-monitor performance. Intended to be a well-rounded 2D/3D graphics option, the G450 will include both DVD support and TV output, as well as the ability to push resolutions up to 2048 x 1536.

Matrox says the Millenium G450 will be available this fall, with the digital display version (Millennium G450 DVI) arriving in the fourth quarter of this year.
