Infogrames' space strategy game will soon be available worldwide.

Infogrames has announced that Master of Orion III has today started to ship to stores worldwide. The turn-based space strategy game, developed by Quicksilver Software, follows in the footsteps of Master of Orion, released in 1994, and Master of Orion II, released in 1996. The new game puts players in command of a galactic space empire and models its economic and political developments in great detail. There are 16 races to choose from, and in the tradition of 4X space strategy games, players have various means to gain an advantage over opposing empires, for example through military action, diplomatic contact, espionage, or technology research.

We'll have a full review of the game soon, but for now check out our previous coverage of the game.
