Tecmo and Xbox Live announced today that they will be starting a second round of the Ninja Gaiden Master Ninja Tournament in conjunction with the regional playoffs of the original, giving another Ninja Gaiden player a chance to compete in the world finals.

Including both the second round of the original tournament and the new tournement, Master Ninja Tournament Round Two will feature a challenge based on new downloadable content for the action game, called Hurricane Pack: Volume I. The new content pack includes smarter and stronger enemies, a faster engine, better camera control, and a new weapon called the boujutsu. To enter the tournament and download the new content, players must have an active Xbox Live account.

After registering for the tournament, players will download the new content pack, play through the new challenge, and then post their final karma scores on a leaderboard. The player with the highest score will win a trip to the world finals. Starting this Friday, July 16, players can register at Xbox.com or at the Master Ninja Tournament Web site. The second round will run from August 2 to 22. The best and worst players in the tournament will receive "Ninja Master" and "Ninja Dog" apparel, respectively.

The regional playoffs will also see the top three players from the first tournament playing through the new content. The best player of the three from August 2 to 8 will join the winner of the second tournament in the world finals, which is being held at a still undisclosed location.
