BioWare has told Mass Effect fans to prepare for some "surprises" this coming Saturday, November 7. That's no random date, however, as it's N7 Day, the developer's annual celebration of all things Mass Effect.

Don't expect any "major announcements" for Mass Effect: Andromeda, BioWare said. However, the studio says it will have "some surprises" to reveal on Saturday that the studio is "sure you'll enjoy." No further details were announced, but another possibility is some new details on the Mass Effect movie.

In addition to BioWare's Mass Effect "surprises," the studio will host a livestream event to help raise money for the video game charity, Extra Life. This will involve BioWare developers playing through the entirety of Mass Effect 3's Citadel expansion, with team members asking the community to decide what choices they make as Commander Shepard. BioWare will match every dollar donated up to $10,000.

The stream starts at 9 AM PDT / 12 PM EDT on November 7 through BioWare's Twitch account.

Other N7 Day promotions include giveaways through BioWare's social media accounts and limited-time sales in the BioWare store. Check out this blog post to see what else BioWare has in store for N7 Day.

Last year on N7 Day, BioWare released a heap of Mass Effect: Andromeda concept art.

Mass Effect: Andromeda launches in fall 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game leaves Commander Shepard behind, a point that BioWare recently addressed.

"Be open-minded to a Mass Effect with no Shepard," development director Chris Wynn said in October. "It can be good."

In other Mass Effect news, the Mass Effect Loot Crate is now available to order.
