This Friday, April 11 marks the 140th birthday of Mass Effect's "savior of the galaxy" Commander Shepard. To celebrate the event, BioWare has compiled a list of recipes--mostly for cupcakes--that you can follow to throw a bash for the esteemed spacefaring fictional hero.

You can see the cupcake recipes, and some for special Renegade and Paragon mixed drinks, at BioWare's website. BioWare will also celebrate Shepard's birthday this week at PAX East in Boston, Mass. at its "BioWare Base."

According to BioWare, Commander Shepard was born on April 11, 2154. Going by that, it appears BioWare is counting up from 2014 to get to 140. Whatever the case, eating cupcakes is (almost) always a good decision, so let's not get hung up on the dates.

BioWare is currently working on an all-new Mass Effect game, which will not feature Commander Shepard. It is already playable, and BioWare calls it "fresh but recognizable."
