Following the announcement of Mass Effect: Andromeda's release date this week, BioWare today revealed when it may announce the game's PC requirements and further detail its multiplayer mode.
BioWare GM Aaryn Flynn said on Twitter today (via DualShockers) that the developer will reveal the PC requirements, "Probably closer to launch. Sometime in February I think."

Given on how it looks, I'd say it's going to require a GeForce 970 just to run it... And of course Best Buy stole my reward points I tried to use to pay for it when I cancelled my Pre-order... so now I can't use them to reinstate it. >_<
@noobertosolano: Unfortunately even my gaming PC can't fit two cards in it. (SLI) But then, I'm also one of the people who still believe that Creative Labs still makes superior sound cards over on-board sound.
@wexorian: Are they going to REQUIRE people to buy it for the X1/PS4 because they won't even be able to match the PC requirements? That's what it's sounding like. I definitely don't like this.
@wexorian: as far as i know it utilizes the same engine as battlefield 1, the most recent build of frostbite 3 i think, and it's probably well optimized for pc because battlefield 1 ran well, but who knows honestly, i heard bioware had a bit of a hard time using the engine so yea maybe they screw that up...
You'll need an i7 6700k OC'd at 5Ghz and a GTX 1080 ti OC'd to 2Ghz and 64GB of RAM so you can get 720p and 30fps, its totally because the game is very demanding.
@davillain-: Sorry, your PC is too weak, this game has revolutionary graphics and demands GTX 1080 ti in SLI configuration for it to even run. This is totally not an optimization issue, so go buy expensive graphics cards so you can buy our games, otherwise we are gonna have to blame piracy for low sales.
@UltimateBastard: Well, here in Brazil a 6700k costs around R$1500 and the 1060 costs around the same price, but I got mine for 1100 in a sale to play some games in the meantime, I was going to buy a 1070 but that one is 2000 here and the 1080 is roughly 3000(around U$1k+). If I didn't grab the 1060, I wouldn't be playing on pc for some time like june this year when I'll have the money to grab a 1080.
@madcat_mikie: Actually yes the engine can help with optimization, optimization comes from many aspects like model poly count, texture usage, lighting and AI, but the fact is if you take the exact objects, materials and other in game elements and ran them in various engines, some would perform better than others.
Can your Gaming PC support the maximum settings necessary to fully appreciate just how butt-ugly Bioware has made its female characters? Will you be able to count the hairs on the upper lip of that Asari abomination Bioware seems so proud of? And most importantly, is your GPU/CPU strong enough to support the extensive graphical Mods necessary to make said characters physically attractive?
@Blk_Mage_Ctype: if you're talking about the asari you should see the ps4 pro mass effect andromeda trailer, she looks pretty normal in motion, but if you're talking about the default female pathfinder, then yea her jaw is a bit deformed i guess...
Thanks for informing us that you will be giving us information at a later date. These are the most valuable articles on Gamespot. I'm not sure what i would do without them
