The upcoming Disney+ TV show Secret Invasion will feature Happy Gilmore actor Christopher McDonald, according to a new report from Deadline. The site said McDonald will join the cast that already includes Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn reprising their roles as Nick Fury and Talos, respectively.

There is no official word yet on who McDonald might play. However, Deadline's sources said McDonald will play a "newly created character" that could show up across other MCU properties covering film and TV. Marvel declined to comment when approached by Deadline.

The rest of the cast for Secret Invasion so far includes Olivia Colman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emilia Clarke, and Killian Scott.

In the comics, Secret Invasion's story follows the shape-shifting Skrull alien race who infiltrate every facet of life on Earth, in order to try and take over the planet. In many cases, these Skrulls also posed as superheroes and weren't found until it was too late.

In other MCU news, WandaVision's Jac Schaeffer just signed a three-year deal with Marvel Studios and 20th Television to develop new content for Disney+ and more.

As for Happy Gilmore, the Adam Sandler golf movie is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Even after all those years, Sandler can still swing like Happy.
