Presumably this is about the same on Xbox, which is already available for pre-load. Pre-loading on PlayStation begins 48 hours before the game releases, while there is no word yet on if pre-loading will be supported on Steam.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy releases on October 26th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Playstation 4 and 5, PC, while a cloud version for Switch will also be available. For more, check out GameSpot's rundown of 10 things you need to know about Guardians of the Galaxy.
