Marvel's Captain Britain Heading to TV Screens - Report
Artist hints that the British superhero could get his own show.
While a large number of Marvel's superheroes have already made it to TV shows and movies, there are still plenty that remain on the page. It has now been rumoured that Captain Britain might be the next Marvel hero to head to screens.
The possibility of the hero otherwise known as Brian Braddock appearing in his own show was revealed yesterday on Twitter by artist Ciara McAvoy, who posted what is presumably conceptual art for his costume. McAvoy has worked on posters for various big movies, including Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and X-Men: First Class. Her tweets read:

I can't reveal anything yet but hopefully I'll be able to soon. Waiting for the go ahead from the co-producer

When asked by one of her followers if she was referring to a standalone show, or a guest appearance in one of Marvel's existing series, McAvoy replied: "It is his own."
Captain Britain was created in 1976 by Chris Claremont and Herb Trimpe. He was designed to be the British equivalent of Captain America, with powers bestowed upon him by the legendary magician Merlin. The character has appeared alongside a variety of other Marvel superheroes the years, including Spider-Man, The Avengers, and the X-Men.
