Marvel plays with Mad Catz

San Diego-based Mad Catz Interactive, maker of gaming accessories and controllers, announced today that it has signed a deal with Marvel Enterprises Inc. to produce gaming accessories based on the upcoming Activision game Fantastic Four. Mad Catz plans to release the console and handheld peripherals when the game, based on 20th Century Fox's summer film Fantastic Four, launches on June 27. Shares of Mad Catz rose 15 percent after the announcement, to close at $1.34.
