Comedian Bert Kreischer's viral story about getting kidnapped by Russian gangsters is getting turned into a movie, with Star Wars actor Mark Hamill on board to star in it.

Hamill and Kreischer himself will appear in the movie, which comes from Godzilla studio Legendary. It's based on Kreischer's viral story about his time studying abroad in Russia when he had a run-in with the Russia mob and helped them rob a train.

Hamill will play Kreischer's father. It's not a re-telling of the events per se, but instead, the events of the story will catch up with Kreischer 20 years later. Kreischer and his father (Hamill) are now being pursued by the people that he wronged two decades ago.

THR said the movie is being described as "The Hangover meets Midnight Run." Filming is scheduled to take place in Serbia. You can watch Kreischer tell his original The Machine story in the video below.

Hamill and Kreischer also released silly videos hyping up the movie. It appears they are getting started right away, as Kreischer and Hamill are seen getting on a private jet headed for Serbia.

Kreischer was known for his party animal lifestyle at Florida State University in the late '90s, and his experiences were documented in a wild 1997 Rolling Stone story, which later become the movie Van Wilder. Kreischer wasn't involved, however.
