Majesco has announced that it has secured the North American distribution rights to several next-generation titles from Japanese firm Sammy Entertainment, including Guilty Gear X for the Sony PlayStation 2 and Death Crimson OX for the Sega Dreamcast.

"We are excited to be partnering with Sammy Entertainment in bringing Guilty Gear X to the North American marketplace," said Jesse Sutton, president of Majesco. "Our agreement with Sammy Entertainment benefits both companies, as it eliminates a significant barrier to entry by allowing them access to our vast distribution network, all while further strengthening our presence within the sales channel."

"Majesco is a distinguished distributor with a long history of excellence, and we're confident that the relationship will be valuable for both Sammy Entertainment and Guilty Gear X," added Mitsuhiro Tanaka, executive vice president for Sammy Entertainment. "The combined strength of our two companies promises to be a dynamic force in the US consumer market."

Guilty Gear X is regarded as one of the most visually impressive 2D fighters to date, while Death Crimson OX is a story-driven light gun game. Guilty Gear X will be released in early October. Death Crimson OX will arrive in early August.
