Madden Predicted Super Bowl Final Score

Madden NFL 15 simulation accurately predicts New England comeback and final 28-24 score.

No Caption Provided

The New England Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks tonight after Tom Brady led a crazy fourth quarter comeback helping the team secure a 28-24 victory at Super Bowl XLIX.

The wild part? Last week's Madden NFL 15 Super Bowl simulation predicted the comeback and the final score exactly. Brady was named MVP of Super Bowl XLIX, which the Madden simulation also predicted.

Here's a rundown of what this year's Madden NFL simulation got right:

  • The Seahawks going on a run in the second half and New England being down 24-14 in the 3rd quarter
  • Julian Edelman catching the winning TD pass AND the EXACT type of pass play that made it happen
  • Final score 28-24
  • Tom Brady being named Super Bowl MVP

EA Sports' Madden Super Bowl simulation has now accurately predicted nine of the past twelve Super Bowl winners.

This zoo has picked it 8 years in a row, 7 by an orangutan and this year by a lion. EA is worse than a zoo.

It wouldn't have predicted it had Seattle not called one of the worst play calls of all time at the end.

everyone bet on madden next super bowl

Avatar image for masterpnut3

Imagine if the patriots would've lost tho. After that catch down field by seahawks. That would've haunted Tom brady forever

I sense a conspiracy going on here.

<< LINK REMOVED >> EA paid off the NFL to sell more games!! ;)

Avatar image for bfa1509

Did anyone see this before the game?

Avatar image for Zloth2

<< LINK REMOVED >> Yeah. And I ignored it.

Avatar image for Boddicker

You can base all this off players' stats. Wow.

I wonder how many times Madden has been dead wrong.

Avatar image for Zloth2

<< LINK REMOVED >> How many times was it dead wrong for this game? It got the score right, the MVP right, and the winning touchdown right. I think we can presume it got the number of fumbles, the number of passes, the number of interceptions, the number of injuries, and several hundred other statistics dead wrong.

This is pretty much like shooting a bunch of arrows at the broad side of a barn then painting little targets around where a few of the arrows landed. They got the score right but, after a dozen years, that's not so surprising.

Avatar image for otterbee

@Boddicker I guess if you read the article more closely you might know that. They said,

EA Sports' Madden Super Bowl simulation has now accurately predicted nine of the past twelve Super Bowl winners.

Now, as far as a more direct answer to your question:

Isn't Google amazing?? Note that the most recent time they were "dead wrong" was last year when it predicted Denver would win, only be blown out 43-8.

Great, now I don't even have to read any articles after it's over to know who won, I can just read the Madden prediction.

Glad the Seahawks had the decency to not try and call the pats cheaters.

Avatar image for tarp_master

<< LINK REMOVED >> Too bad they were such poor sports on the last couple plays.

Avatar image for batmanisalive

The game fixed, tom brady was about lose. No coach in the world would call to throw the ball on the one yard line. somebody had too much money in vegas on the pats to lose this game. the NFL should be looked into by FBI for game Fixing.

Avatar image for Zloth2

<< LINK REMOVED >> Actually coaches DO call a throw on the 1 sometimes. The defense is often not ready for it at all and they can just lob it in. They've still got the 3rd and even 4th down to take a shot with the running back. Well... unless there's an interception or something, but what are the chances of that?

That's a little spooky. I like it.

and the Seahawks should be fined HEAVILY for that brawl at the end...what a bunch of sad lack of class

Avatar image for kenpachi212

The Seahawks were handed the game against Greenbay so now it came back to bite them in the @ss...Karma's a b!tch!!!

Avatar image for blackothh

A win is a win and ill take it!

Avatar image for console_war_vet

EA and the NFL fixed the game. Illuminati.

Looked like Seahawks offensive coordinator went madden on that last play call. Why you don't give the ball to Lynch in that situation is mind blowing. Yes everyone would of knew it was coming, but it is the superbowl, and you have a running back who has great YAC. You give him the rock every time.

Back when I was in high school my homeroom class would occasionally hold a contest to see who could predict the winners in the Stanley Cup playoffs. I would just use what I knew about the teams on NHL video games to predict the winners and I was usually right. I don't even watch hockey apart from the Olympic games. Which, to my delight, annoyed some people when I won the class contest a few times.

Thank lord baby jesus the seahawks went for the pass. If they won, people online wouldn't let me hear the end of it, given my name.

It is a highly choreographed sport that relies on lots on number crunching etc rather than dynamic skill and spontaneity so not surprising.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Take a hard look at what you typed.

Avatar image for kyelo

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> Of all the major team sports it relies on set plays far more than others, that is it. The others require more creative flair and on the spot thinking.

This isn't being negative btw thats just how these sports play.

Dat throw tho. Literally throwing the game at the end.

Avatar image for Archangel2222

<< LINK REMOVED >> nah i like sherman and his antics, he has game. entire seahawks werent the same as last year, the hunger wasnt there and they got C***Y it showed in their attitude they thought they had it in the bag and it cost them. Bad final play by them also they did have that game they just buckled on it
