Legendary NFL quarterback Peyton Manning announced his retirement on Monday. Now, EA Sports has paid homage to the man with a nice retrospective video that documents his appearance in Madden games throughout the years. The minute-long video, released on Twitter, can be seen below.

Manning was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts.

He first appeared in the Madden game series with Madden NFL 99, and as you can see, the game's graphics looked a lot different back then. The video chronicles his time with the Colts and later the Denver Broncos, ending with some in-game footage of his unlikely Super Bowl 50 win last month.

Two-time Super Bowl champion Manning retires as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game. He goes out not only as a Super Bowl champion, but also as the record-holder for career passing yards (71,940), career passing TDs (539), career wins (200), career playoff appearances (15), career 4,000-yard seasons (14), and more that you can see here at the NFL's website.

Did you play as Manning in the Madden NFL series? Who will you use next year? Let us know in the comments below!
