The next Madden game will be announced this week, release in August, and include a $100 premium edition that gets players into the game a few days early. That's according to a leak from billbil-kun (via VGC), who has a solid track record for reporting on unannounced video game news.

The game will be announced on May 16, the report said, and that's the same day that the official countdown clock for EA Sports College Football expires. So EA may have two big football announcements to make that day.

The report said Madden NFL 25 will launch on August 16, but people who buy the Deluxe edition or subscribe to EA Play can begin playing on August 12. This is standard procedure for Madden games, as EA is known to give early access to people who spend more money.

The report said Madden NFL 25's standard edition will go for $70, with the Deluxe edition selling for $100. The story didn't have any information on who might be the cover star for Madden NFL 25, however, though the report said the cover star may be announced after the game is.
