Madden NFL 2001 Ships to Stores

Electronic Arts announced today that it has shipped Madden NFL 2001 for the PC. This new version of Madden features an updated graphics engine with 200 player faces scanned and mapped into the game. Player models have also been changed, and they're now designed to reflect their real-life counterparts - linemen are now much bigger than other players on the field. Like the previous Madden games, Madden NFL 2001 contains online play with expanded features such as online customized leagues, fantasy drafts, and ranked ladder games. The gameplay has also been refined with the addition of a "read-n-react" option that lets you change your defensive scheme from pass to run right before the snap.
