EA Sports on Wednesday pushed out the first patch for Madden NFL 16, which addresses a number of issues across general gameplay, the Connected Franchise mode, and Madden Ultimate Team.
Specifically, the title update fixes an issue where AI defenders would get strange encroachment penalties. It also addresses general gameplay bugs, possibly including this invisible defender glitch. In addition, today's patch fixes a handful of problems with Madden NFL 16's Connected Franchise, including an issue where some free agents would vanish from the free agent pool.

The Connected Franchise bugs were so bad that developers at EA Tiburon actually advised not starting the mode until the patch was released.
EA Sports notes that the patch is available today for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but there is no word on when it may be released for last-generation consoles or PC.
