Madden goes gold

EA Sports completes work on the latest game in its long-running football franchise.

EA Sports has officially announced that Madden NFL 2004 has gone gold and that all versions will be shipping to stores on August 11. Madden NFL 2004 has a number of new features not found in previous incarnations of the series, including play maker control that lets players change plays before the snap and direct receivers and blockers after the snap. In addition, the game features an in-depth owner mode where players will have to manage just about every aspect of the franchise, even pricing of food at the stadium.

Madden NFL 2004 for the PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, PlayStation, and Game Boy Advance will be on store shelves on August 14.
