Mad Max PS4-Exclusive Content Revealed

With the Mad Max release date now just days away, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that the PlayStation 4 edition of the car-combat game is getting some "exclusive" content.

This content comes in the form of 12 hood ornaments for your car, seven of which are shown off in the video below. The DLC will be exclusive to PS4 through "at least" November 30, 2015, after which point it may come to Xbox One and PC, though Warner Bros. has yet to announce any specific plans.

The Mad Max PS4 exclusive hood ornaments include:

• Longlooker
• Wez Pads and Hawk
• Humongous Mask
• Feral Boomerang
• Aviator Helm
• The Furry Toadie
• Bearclaw's Mask

Mad Max is not the first multiplatform game with timed-exclusive content for PlayStation platforms. Others include Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Destiny, Batman: Arkham Knight, Hitman, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5.

PlayStation president Andrew House explained earlier this year that these types of exclusivity deals with multiplatform titles are especially important for the company this year because Sony's lineup of first-party games is "a little sparse."

Recently, Mad Max developer Avalanche Studios announced the game's PC system requirements and published an interactive trailer that lets you choose your own mayhem.

It's a particularly busy year for Avalanche, as the studio will ship another high-profile game--Just Cause 3--just three months after Mad Max, on December 1.
