Activision's marketing efforts for Guitar Hero Live are in full swing. During the halftime festivities of yesterday's Seattle Seahawks NFL game at CenturyLink Field, rapper Macklemore played Guitar Hero Live alongside Jamie Jackson of developer FreeStyle Games. Check out a picture below (via Twitter).
They stood on a stage in the middle of the field and gameplay was broadcast to the big-screen. According to one person on Twitter, Macklemore destroyed his guitar after they finished the song. No word on what that song was, but it wouldn't be the first time someone has smashed a Guitar Hero controller.
According to Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg, Jackson let Macklemore win.
Guitar Hero Live--the first entry in the series since 2010's Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock--launches on October 20 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, and mobile devices. Competitor Rock Band 4 was released earlier this month and received a generally positive response from critics.
