Released via Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade this morning, Lumines Live! is an Xbox 360-exclusive update to what was arguably the PlayStation Portable's strongest launch game, Lumines. In addition to a big chunk of content lifted from the popular PSP puzzler, the Xbox 360 game boasts plenty of all-new content, including a mission mode, licensed music, surround sound, customizable skins, and new multiplayer features. Lumines Live! also supports downloadable content, the first of which is an "Advance Pack" priced at 600 Microsoft Points that should be available to download shortly.

In this telephone interview with Q Entertainment's Tetsuya Mizuguchi, we talk not only about the Lumines Live! content that's available to download and play right now, but also about some of the features that might find their way into the game in the future. Mizuguchi's previous game credits include Space Channel 5, Rez, Meteos, and Ninety-Nine Nights. Expect a full review of Lumines Live! on GameSpot soon.
