Lots of Halo Wars 2 Beta Stats Revealed, See Them Here

If you missed the Halo livestream at RTX this past weekend, Microsoft has now shared a rundown of the news, starting with some statistics about the Halo Wars 2 beta.

An infographic posted on the Xbox Wire reveals that people collectively played the beta--which ran June 13 to June 22 on Xbox One--for 1.2 million hours. Another noteworthy stat is that win percentage was basically even, with the Banished side slightly edging out UNSC by a margin of 50.8 percent to 49.2 percent.

Together, players racked up an $831 trillion medical and repairs bill from healing powers, while the total number of units vanquished stood at 80,468,490. Additionally, the shortest deathmatch round lasted just 6 minutes and 29 seconds, while the longest domination round took 2 hours and 59 minutes.

If you missed the first Halo Wars 2 beta, a second one will run "closer to launch" on both Xbox One and PC. After a delay, Halo Wars 2 launches on February 17, 2017.

Also during the RTX panel, Microsoft talked more about Halo 5's Forge map-making tools. The company said the userbase has reached more than 16.5 million players, who have collectively spent more than 272 years using the mode to make almost 330,000 maps.

Additionally, a file browser is coming to Halo 5's Forge on Xbox One, as well as PC when the free tools are released. This will allow players to search for user-made game modes and maps, such as the Halo versions of Quidditch and Star Wars podracing.

In the Xbox Wire post, Microsoft said a file browser was "one of the most requested features" for Halo 5. Currently, to find user-made Forge creations, you need to search for a player's gamertag--it's not terrible, but it's not ideal, either.

Microsoft has not yet said when the file browser will be available on Xbox One or when the Halo 5 Forge tools will come to PC.
