Ahead of No Man's Sky's release this summer on PlayStation 4 and PC, you can now listen to one of the songs from the space game's soundtrack. As announced in 2014, the game's music was recorded by UK instrumental band 65daysofstatic.

It's being released on the double album "Music for an Infinite Universe." One of the songs, "Supermoon," has been published on Soundcloud. take a listen:

In a post on its website, the band also explained how it came to work with Hello Games on the ambitious No Man's Sky, saying the game's ambitions and tone matched up nicely with the band's vision.

"A couple of years ago we were approached by video game makers Hello Games to provide some original music for a new game they were developing, then known as 'project skyscraper,' now known as No Man's Sky.' A sort of hyper-real, solitary waltz through a parallel universe in search of oblivion or whatever else feels appropriate in the face of the indifference of eternity.

"The game, close to completion and due for release this summer, is also procedural, meaning, for those of you who don't 'do' games, that it generates itself algorithmically rather than manually, and therefore is to all intents and purposes, evil. In other words, it means that the parts of the game one journeys through are theoretically unique, built by the game itself, and you are experiencing them for the first time. Our sort of gig right?"

Music from an Infinite Universe is released on June 17, days before No Man's Sky comes out on June 21. You can get all the details about the album's formats and preorder information here.
