Thomas Was Alone creator Mike Bithell has released a new trailer for upcoming stealth game Volume, letting fans hear for the first time the voice of Lord of the Rings actor Andy Serkis in the title.

Serkis, who of course played Gollum in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy and will appear in this year's Star Wars: Episode VII -- The Force Awakens, plays the role of villain Guy Gisborne in Volume.

The voice you hear in the video's intro is the AI of Volume, played by Danny Wallace. Serkis doesn't come in until the 1:25 mark, but he delivers a chilling line that has me excited to hear more.

This is not Serkis' first video game appearance. He played Gollum in the Lord of the Rings licensed games, and had parts in Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and Heavenly Sword. In November, Bithell announced that Serkis, his "dream actor" for the role, was coming aboard to work on Volume.

The new Volume trailer also reveals the game's full list of enemy types. These are:

  • Pawn
  • Turret
  • Knight
  • Rogue
  • Hound
  • Archer

Volume launches later this year for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC. For more, check out GameSpot's previous coverage of Volume.
