Lineage hits the Mac

NCsoft launches the Macintosh version of its online role-playing game.

NCsoft has announced the launch of the Macintosh version of Lineage: The Blood Pledge, its popular online role-playing game. The game, which was launched on the PC in North America last October, currently claims more than 4 million subscribers. It lets players assume the role of one of four types of characters and adventure in its persistent online medieval fantasy world.

Those who want to play the game can download the full version for both the PC and the Macintosh from the official Lineage Web site for free. Those who do not want to download the game can visit the Web site to request a free CD-ROM version of the game. The game comes with a free 30-day free trial period, and those who wish to continue to play after the free trial can subscribe for $15 per month.
