Warner Bros. has unveiled LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, the next in its series of long-running and family friendly LEGO titles.

Developed, as always, by UK studio TT Games, the third Lego Batman game was introduced to media with a demo that featured Batman, Robin, and The Flash taking to space in an attempt to thwart The Joker and Lex Luthor as they sought to capture the JLA Watchtower. The game combines the usual mix of platforming and puzzle solving, features a greater emphasis on Batman and Robin being able to switch up their suits to solve issues, and there's even some vehicle sequences inspired by Housemarque's PlayStation 4 launch title Resogun.

Warner Bros. also took the opportunity to announce that the LEGO series has now sold over 100 million copies.

Lego Batman 3 will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, PC, DS, 3DS, and Vita later this year.
