Lego Avatar Sets Discounted For The First Time At Best Buy

Don't let James Cameron have all the fun of creating Avatar memories when you can build your own Pandora without needing to spend millions.

Comments

The next Avatar movie won't be arriving until late 2024, but why wait for James Cameron to finish the story when you can do it yourself? You won't need $300 million worth of special effects to do so either, as this Lego Avatar set is marked down to just $120 at Best Buy.

Usually retailing for $150, the Lego Avatar Toruk Makto and Tree of Souls set gives you plenty of material to create your Avatar 3 scene. This particular set is comprised of 1,212 pieces, and once you've fully constructed it, you'll have your very own Tree of Souls and three builds with glow-in-the-dark elements.

Though this particular set is the biggest (and coolest) in the Lego Avatar line, it's worth mentioning that you can also save on the other four other Lego Avatar sets. You can grab the Floating Mountains set for $71 (normally $100) at Amazon. Meanwhile, the Mako Submarine is $48 (down from $60) and Skimwing Adventure is $28 (down from $35) at Best Buy. Finally, the Neytiri & Thanator set is on sale for $36 (regularly $45).

Back to the big set: As for mini-figures, it includes Jake Sully, Neytiri, Mo'at and Tsu'Tey Na'vi, as well as a posable Toruk figure with foil wings and a Direhorse figure. In case you don't know what a Toruk is because you haven't seen the Avatar films, that's the big and bright dragon in the set that you can put together.

Even if you're not planning to show Hollywood and Cameron how it's done with a film camera, you can get a cathartic kick out of building this set and it looks great as a diorama piece on your shelf.
