Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD out October 4 in Europe
Nintendo confirms launch date for upcoming Wii U game; North American version on schedule for sometime in October.
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD will release in Europe on October 4, Nintendo announced today during a Nintendo Direct video presentation.
The game's North American release date is sometime in October.
Wind Waker HD will be available in stores and through the eShop at launch, though Nintendo did not announce pricing for the game, or if it will differ between physical and digital.
Regarding the game's timeline, Wind Waker HD takes place "a few months" before The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. The game tells the story of how Link and Tetra first met.
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker originally released on GameCube in 2003.
According to an Amazon listing, Wind Waker HD will not only feature souped up visuals, but also a "more challenging" difficulty mode. Nintendo did not mention this today during the presentation.
Also during the Nintendo Direct briefing today, it was announced that Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney will release in the United States in 2014.
