Legend of Heroes continues

More PSP RPG action on the way as Namco confirms Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch for release this summer.

The PSP is barely over a year old in the US, but Falcom has already worked on three full-scale role-playing games for the system. Konami published the latest in the company's biggest series, Ys: The Ark of Napishtim, while Bandai put out The Legend of Heroes: A Tear of Vermillion last November. Now the merged company Namco Bandai has announced that it will be bringing Falcom's third PSP role-playing game, The Legend of Heroes II: Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch, to the US this summer.

While the game is a sequel to Legend of Heroes, players won't be controlling the same heroes. Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch follows childhood friends Chris and Jurio on a quest that starts out small, but winds up with the fate of the world in the balance. The game will once again feature the "pet system" and turn-based role-playing action.

No pricing or rating information for the game has yet been announced.
