Leaked Stranger Things Season 4 Photos Suggest Dark Times Ahead

Some new images from the set of season 4 have emerged.

New photos have leaked from the set of Stranger Things season 4, offering a glimpse at the long-awaited next season for Netflix's popular sci-fi show. The photos were posted on social media (via GamesRadar) and show off how the Upside Down has seemingly taken over a trailer park, which can't be good.

Filming is underway in the state of Georgia with sets made to look like the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. As you can see, there are '80s vehicles in the scenes, while the tendrils that are connected to the Upside Down can be seen overruning the homes in the trailer park.

Stranger Things Season 4 is one of the numerous Hollywood productions that was delayed due to COVID-19. Director Shawn Levy told Collider that the pandemic "definitely massively delayed shooting" on the new season, which impacted the release date.

There was a silver lining, however. Levy said the production delays gave the creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, time to finish writing the season before filming. That has never happened before.

"The quality of these screenplays are exceptional, maybe better than ever," Levy said.

Several members of the Stranger Things cast have said season 4 is the darkest and scariest yet.
