A sizzle reel for the highly-anticipated Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi has been released for Disney+ Day. To celebrate everything coming to the streaming service, Disney has a long thread of tweets showcasing upcoming projects, and one of those is a sizzle reel for the upcoming Obi-Wan TV show, arriving in 2022. However, as of this writing, you can only watch the sizzle reel with a Disney+ account.

But the real headline is sooner or later--probably sooner--we'll be getting our first meaty look at where the series is now. Filming on the show wrapped in September, and star Ewan McGregor promised it "will not disappoint." Bear in mind this clip does not contain any actual footage of the show itself, but it does showcase some new concept art and an interview with McGregor, who concedes that "the fans have been waiting long enough." Check out the tweet with the link to the reel below from Disney+ Day. Hopefully, this is put on YouTube as you need a Disney+ account to watch it.

McGregor isn't kidding. The Kenobi series was announced long before Disney+ even launched. Lucasfilm also has confirmed there will be a number of new cast members coming to the program, though no details have been revealed about their roles. Among the newcomers so far are Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie. Every episode of the series will be directed by Deborah Chow.

November 12's Disney+ Day offered up a lot of big announcements about upcoming TV shows and movies coming to the service. The Big Hero 6 spinoff Baymax got its first trailer, and Baymax is just as charming as you remember. Willow got a "meet the cast" video that is way funnier than it needs to be. The beloved Predator films are getting a prequel movie on Hulu. Marvel made a lot of announcements about upcoming TV series. And while it didn't happen during Disney+ Day, the first reactions to Marvel's Hawkeye hit social media.

Relatedly, Disney has recently released the first trailer for The Book of Boba Fett, its next big Star Wars series for Disney+. You can check out our full analysis and breakdown of that clip here. The Book of Boba Fett hits Disney+ on December 29.
