Latest GTA 5 Event Offers Double Rewards, Cuts Fast Vehicle Prices in Half

Another Grand Theft Auto V event is underway in Grand Theft Auto Online, this one based around fast vehicles and time trials.

From May 6 through May 12, you'll be able to earn double in-game cash and experience by completing time trials in freemode. Even if you've completed them previously, you're still eligible for the double rewards. The time trial schedule is as follows:

• Friday, May 6: Vinewood Bowl
• Saturday May 7: Down Chiliad
• Sunday May 8: Mount Gordo
• Monday May 9: Great Ocean Highway
• Tuesday May 10: Sawmill
• Wednesday May 11: Maze Bank Arena
• Thursday May 12: End to End

To help make those time trials easier, you can pick up five of the game's faster vehicles--three cars and two motorcycles--at half price. These are the T20, Zentorno, Pegassi Osiris, Hakuchou, and Akuma.

You can also save money this week by purchasing select vehicle mods (engines, brakes, and suspension are 30 percent off) or using Lester's services, all of which are currently free.

Finally, a double RP playlist will be available for the week, this one also focused on racing. As with those in the past, you'll be able to access it from the in-game menu or straight from the initial loading screen.
