Core Design drops off its latest build of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation.

Ah yes, Lara Croft, arguably the most recognizable PC (and console) character of the 1990s. Core and Eidos are readying The Last Revelation - the fourth installment in the venerable Tomb Raider series - and they recently stopped by to fill us in on its latest features.

The biggest change in Last Revelation will be Lara herself. Core gave the buxom heroine more polygons (please, this is a family publication) and the ability to blink and move her mouth. Now players will be able to see Lara talk and express different facial expressions during the game's cutscenes. Players will even be able to check out a 16-year-old version of Lara Croft during some of The Last Revelation's flashback modes.

Unlike the older Tomb Raider games, Last Revelation takes place entirely in one locale: the deserts of Egypt. The levels are split up into the main excavation digs that run along the Nile River, including Karank, Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, and the Valley of the Kings. To get her through all these areas in one piece, Lara will be able to hitch a ride aboard a sidecar motorcycle, a jeep, and - in classic Indiana Jones fashion - even on the roof of a moving train.

The Last Revelation will hit store shelves during the waning days of November for both the PlayStation and the PC. For a detailed look at all the game's features, be sure to ogle the attached PC screenshots, and then take a look at the videogames.com feature preview.
