You can add Assassin's Creed 2 and two others to your PC backlog at no additional charge.

Comments

Three Ubisoft games are free to claim on PC right now until May 5. You can pick up Assassin's Creed 2, Child of Light, and Rayman Legends at no cost--as long as you download them from Uplay. All three of these games were previously free to claim from Uplay throughout April, and now they're all back again as freebies for those who didn't take advantage of the previous offers.

Installing these games from Uplay is the only requirement in order to play them--next to having a Uplay account, of course. You have until May 5 at 11 PM / 2 PM ET / 6 PM GMT to download them, at which point they become yours even after the date lapses.

Now Playing: Evolution of Assassin’s Creed, From The Holy Land To Valhalla

Free Ubisoft Games For PC (Uplay)

Assassin's Creed 2 came out in November 2009 for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. A sequel to 2007's Assassin's Creed and the second entry in what's known as the Ezio Trilogy, AC 2 follows protagonist Ezio Auditore da Firenze as he embarks on a quest for revenge after his father and brothers are killed. We scored the game a 9/10 in our original Assassin's Creed 2 review. Developer Ubisoft Montreal recently revealed the latest entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, slated to drop this holiday.

Also developed by Ubisoft Montreal within the UbiArt game engine, Child of Light released in April 2014 for PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The game puts you in the shoes of Aurora, a child stricken with a fatal illness, who must unclench the Queen of the Night's grasp on life in order to return home. We gave the game an 8/10 in our original Child of Light review. A sequel is allegedly in the works, though information on its development has been quiet since it was teased in August 2018.

Developed by a different Ubisoft studio but still based on the UbiArt framework, Rayman Legends launched in September 2013 for PC, PS3, PS Vita, Wii U, and Xbox 360 and serves as a direct sequel to 2011's Rayman Origins. The game sees Rayman and friends heading out on another adventure to defeat the Dark Teensies and rescue the 10 princesses of the land. We awarded the game a 9/10 in our original Rayman Legends review. Rayman Legends is currently the most recent entry in the Rayman series.

These three games aren't the only free titles available right now. PS4 players can snag Journey, Pac-Man Championship Edition 2, and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. Xbox owners, on the other hand, can download Crackdown, Crackdown 2, and Too Human. We've compiled a list of all the free games you can grab on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and more.
