Sparrow Racing League was released on December 8 as a new event for people who bought The Taken King. There are two custom tracks (featuring speed boosts and obstacles) that support six players.
There are rewards to earn, while you can also spend real-world money on items like the SRL Record Book. A glitch for that item in particular that gave away its content for free was fixed earlier this month.
Bungie has not announced if Sparrow Racing League will return. However, fans can expect Bungie to deliver more limited-time content of that nature in 2016, though no new offerings have been officially announced.
When Sparrow Racing League ends on December 29, another event--Iron Banner--will begin. Among the rewards are new PlayStation-exclusive content. Check out this post for a full rundown of what to expect.
In other Sparrow Racing League news, you can check out this Bungie post to see the winners of a Sparrow-themed film festival that Bungie held earlier this month.
