Last Chance To Grab Some Spooky Games From PS4's Halloween Sale

Trick or treat, give me something good to play.

As Halloween nears, it naturally makes sense to play some spooky and suspenseful games. PlayStation 4 owners are in luck, as Sony's Halloween sale is live on the PlayStation Store. The PSN sale features more than 200 games and runs until Friday, November 1 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET.

Since it's a Halloween sale, let's start with some of the horror game highlights. The excellent Resident Evil 2 remake is available for $30 (was $60). Tango Gameworks' The Evil Within 2 markedly improved on the original and is discounted to $19.79 (was $60). For an atmospheric and haunting adventure, check out the rat-infested hit A Plague Tale: Innocence, which dropped down to $30 (was $50).

If you've already played Resident Evil 2 but need to round out your collection of games from the heralded survival horror franchise, you're in luck. Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6, and Resident Evil Revelations are available for $8 each. Resident Evil 7 is up for grabs for $15 and Resident Evil Revelations 2 Deluxe Edition is $9.89.

Though it's a Halloween sale, the offerings include far more than just strict horror games. Numerous standout games released this year are available at heavy discounts, including Rage 2 ($30), Metro Exodus ($30), and Devil May Cry 5 ($30).

I don’t think that this will be a “huge Halloween”. I bet it will be normal size.

Um... are these the originals being played on PS4? they haven't remade anything past RE2 correct?

what would be the point of playing 10 yr old or longer games/graphics on a newer system?

@chubby170: so you expect a new game that came out 9 months ago to be cheap?

@undeadzombie: Of course! 9 months is a long time. And personally, I dont think this game should have ever been full price since its a remake.

This stuff is always so much cheaper at GameStop and Target, etc... I can’t believe PSN still normally sells The Evil Within 2 for $60. It’s been under $20 at GameStop for over a year. I’ve seen PSN sell tons of games for $60 that are less than $30 everywhere else.

@justthetip: I agree. I almost never buy games from PSN; even during sales.

@jsprunk: Yeah. It’s crazy to me. I buy maybe 1 out of 10 of my games on PSN.

Grab ALIEN ISOLATION! If you are a tiny bit into Alien franchise, you'll have a hell of a playtrough. Scary AF.

@everson_rm: Is it anything like Dead Space? I'm not a fan of the Alien series, but I love Dead Space.

@screamingsatori: No, nothing like dead space (love Dead Space too, one of my all time faves, DAMM EA!).

Its more horror, waaaaaaay less action. Theres only a handfull of tools, and you cant really kill the antagonist. But it is scary AF.

Sorry to disapoint you!

I agree.

Play it slowly, don't rush like reviewers did, and the pacing will be just fine.
