Last Chance To Claim Your Three Free Games With PlayStation Plus (February 2020)

PlayStation Plus brings three PS4 games for February.

We still have a bit of time to wait before some of the big games of 2020--like Doom Eternal, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Final Fantasy VII Remake--release, but there's always that backlog, right? To help you work through it, PlayStation Plus is offering some pretty cool games to play right now. February 2020's free games with PlayStation Plus are BioShock: The Collection and The Sims 4, as well as popular PSVR shooter Firewall Zero Hour. However, you only have until tomorrow to claim them, since March's lineup of free PS4 games is just around the corner.

BioShock: The Collection includes the original BioShock, its direct sequel BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite in their remastered forms, along with all their DLC. Although a new BioShock is still a long way off, each of these is great in its own right, and well worth a playthrough.

Now Playing: Free PS4 PlayStation Plus Games For February 2020 Revealed

The Sims 4 is the latest entry in EA's long-running simulation franchise. In our original 6/10 review though, The Sims 4 was criticized for its cramped structure and removal of several series features, but has since endured with numerous expansions and content packs.

Firewall Zero Hour is exclusively for PSVR, where you and three other players can tackle tactically demanding shooter situations via online multiplayer. It supports the PSVR Aim controller for increased precision, but can be played with standard DualShock 4 controllers too.

All three games are available until the first Tuesday of next month, which falls on March 3. Expect March's PS Plus games to go live then. As always, the games will be available in your library until your subscription lapses.

PS Plus Free Games for February 2020

  • BioShock: The Collection (available 2/4-3/3)
  • The Sims 4 (available 2/4-3/3)
  • Firewall Zero Hour (available 2/4-3/3)

Better than the last 6 months, but still, Bioshock? Who in the hell (besides kids) hasn't played these games? It's criminal not to have.

Still, I like Firewall being here. It's MP only so I likely won't ever play it, but I can dust my Aim controller off (also criminally underutilized this gen)

@nikolistary: The BioShock series sold 25 million as of June 2015. Throw in 3 million — a very optimistic guess — for the collection that came out the following year, and you still have just a fraction of the approx. 280 million PS3/PS4/XB360/XB1 pool (and god knows how many PCs).

@nikolistary:

I never played Bioshock 2 so it's nice to have it. I played the original Bioshock on PS3 years ago and Infinite as well.

I didn't play the 2nd, nor Infinite - and I can assure you, I'm quite aged. Plus this includes all the DLC and the re-mastered versions at that.

So yeah, this is a good thing. Much play, very busy!

@nikolistary: criminally underutilized! Agreed! I believe firewall has a SP training mode with bots that’s been added since initial launch. So still might be a bit of good times. I’m not really into MP nowadays either.

@jumalan75: All I want and hope for the Aim controller is Sony fully commits to PS5 shooters with it. Just looking at the Aim next to the Move controllers and it's painfully clear the Aim is much more modern with full DS4 layout and is ideal for FPS games. I will lose my absolute shit if Far Cry 6 has a VR mode with Aim compatibility, or any FPS franchise next gen.

Please God, make Sony do this.........

@nikolistary: But too many people HAVEN'T played 2. Give people a chance to hop on that one. One of the most criminally neglected games of all time.

@Nasuke1: Yeah, man. People may debate how it rates compared to the other two, but still very, very good. Give it a shot!
