Last Chance For These PS4 And Xbox One Deals At GameStop In The US

Some noteworthy deals this week.

Each Wednesday GameStop refreshes its weekly sale, offering discounts on a new batch of PS4, Xbox One, and Switch games, plus various discounts on accessories and collectibles. This week's sale is almost finished, but if you hurry, you can get some decent savings. Let's take a look at the highlights.

There aren't a whole lot of games on sale this week, but one whose price hasn't dropped before is the barely-a-month-old game The Crew 2, which is on sale for $40. In GameSpot's The Crew 2 review (say that three times fast), our critic wrote, "Despite its shortcomings, The Crew 2 still displays admirable strengths, which lie in its player-friendly features, freedom of movement, and its willingness to bend the rules in order to make things exciting and varied for an accessible, American-themed thrillride."

Other games on sale this week include Lego The Incredibles for $40 and the DC Comics fighting game Injustice 2 for $30. And if you haven't picked up the nearly outdated sports games Madden NFL 18, NBA Live 18, and NHL 18, you can do so now at a discount. (They're on sale just about everywhere this time of year).

In other news, between now and August 26, you can swing by the local GameStop store to get a code to unlock a Legendary Pokemon or two. The monsters in question are Kyogre in Pokemon Sun/Ultra Sun and Groudon in Pokemon Moon/Ultra Moon. Those are totally free, so you don't even need to buy anything to get them. All you have to do is ask.

If you're looking to trade in games or other items between now and August 12, you'll get extra cash, because cash is getting a temporarily bump up to the value of credit you'd get for the same item. Anyone interested in buying a cheap PS3 or Xbox 360 can get $20 off those pre-owned consoles. And if you can find four used games under $10 you want to buy, you'll get them all for $20.

That about does it for this week's deals at GameStop. Come back Wednesday for a new set of discounts.
