It's the final day in Destiny 2 before the release of the Season of the Chosen, which brings a new villain and changes to loot and rewards in the game. That makes this your absolute last chance to visit Xur and get new Exotics before the new season begins on February 9. Head to EDZ, to the Winding Cove area, to find Xur this week. For his weapon, Xur is offering Telesto. Hunters can pick up the Gwisin Vest chest armor; for Titans, there's the Severance Enclosure chest armor; and for Warlocks, Xur has Sunbracers gauntlets.

Xur Location

You'll find Xur in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ. Use the nearby transmat point to spawn in, then jump on your sparrow and head north toward the edge of the area. If you take the highway bridge on your left, you'll approach a cave in the wall of the area that will lead you up to a ledge above. There, you'll find Xur, standing beside a crashed Fallen dropship.

Xur Exotic Items

Xur's final weapon offering of the Season of the Hunt is Telesto, a powerful fusion rifle that gets a lot of use in the Crucible and beyond. It fires blasts of fusion energy like other weapons of its type, but those bursts of energy stick to surfaces and enemies, exploding later--making it deadly around corners and fired into groups. If you're not a fan of his other options, Xur also sells an Exotic engram that will decrypt into an Exotic you don't already own. He also has the new Xenology Quest, which rewards an Exotic Cipher you can use to purchase Exotics from either Xur or the Tower's Monument to Lost Lights. The quest requires you to either complete Strikes or win matches in Gambit and the Crucible.

  • Exotic Engram -- 97 legendary shards
  • Telesto -- 29 legendary shards
  • Gwisin Vest -- 23 legendary shards
  • Severance Enclosure -- 23 legendary shards
  • Sunbracers -- 23 legendary shards
  • Xenology quest -- free

Telesto is a deadly favorite in the Crucible and in PvE activities. It's a powerful fusion rifle, with the added bonus that its shots don't damage enemies upon impact. Instead, they stick to things, enemies, and other players before exploding later. That slight delay gives you the opportunity to trick enemies into walking to Telesto blasts, to shoot into groups and have multiple enemies take the hit that otherwise wouldn't, to use Telesto to control territory, and to even shoot your teammates to turn them into bombs (without harming them). It's a fun, useful gun to use and you definitely want it in your collection.

Gwisin Vest (Hunter)

You get more Super energy after killing enemies with your Spectral Blade and then vanishing like a ninja, making Gwisin Vest great for use in the Crucible.

This is a Hunter mainstay in the Crucible if you're a fan of the Spectral Blades Super. The Exotic extends your Super every time you get a kill with the Blades and then use your ability to go invisible, encouraging you to be a stealthy and lethal ninja. Against other players, that's especially useful and can help you rack up extra sneaky kills.

In true Titan fashion, Severance Enclosure causes your punches to make people blow up.
In true Titan fashion, Severance Enclosure causes your punches to make people blow up.

All Titans love punching stuff, but with Severance Enclosure equipped, punching things is even more fun and rewarding. Whenever you land melee ability final blows on enemies, you'll unleash an explosion--and punching more powerful enemies makes the explosion more powerful, with a bigger blast radius. That makes this great for taking down multiple enemies at once.

Sunbracers make your Solar grenades are more powerful, while also causing Solar melee kills you rack up to give you more Solar grenade energy.

Sunbracers allow you to channel more Solar energy into your Warlock's Solar grenades, making them last longer after you throw them. They also let you throw your grenades more often--every time you land a Solar melee kill, you earn grenade energy. Paired with a build favoring Strength and Discipline, Sunbracers will have you chucking flames all over the battlefield.
