Destiny 2 merchant Xur is back for one more day to help you out with a handful of Exotics to help you get what you're missing. You've got until the weekly reset on Tuesday, March 3 to get what he's got. Here's where to find him and what he's offering. [Update: You can no longer pick up these particular items, but Xur is back for the weekend starting March 6, which marks his last visit before Season of the Worthy begins next week.]

Xur is located in The Tower right now, in the Hangar area. His Exotic weapon this week is Sunshot. Titans can get Dunemarchers leg armor; Warlocks can purchase the Eye of Another World helmet; and Hunters have Aeon Swift gauntlets on offer.

Now Playing: Destiny 2 - Where Is Xur? Exotic Vendor Location Guide 2/28 - 3/3

This visit comes just as the Season of Dawn is almost over, and now we know what to expect from Destiny 2's next content season, the Season of the Worthy. Bungie has confirmed the return of the Trials of Osiris, which means this is a great time to fill out your Exotic collection so you're ready to hop into the Crucible's greatest challenge when it returns on March 13 (especially because Bungie is planning some weapon changes, it seems).

Xur Location

Head to the Tower to find Xur today. You'll want to go to the Hangar side and turn toward the north end of the area when you arrive. Keep moving toward the edge of the Tower and climb the stairs up onto a catwalk to find Xur hanging out in a corner.

Xur Inventory

For a weapon this week, Xur's offering Sunshot, an old standby hand cannon that remains pretty reliable. The powerful Special ammo gun fires explosive rounds that are great in both PvE and PvP, with the added Crucible bonus of marking any targets that are damaged by the explosion.

If Xur's wares aren't compelling, you can always roll the dice on the expensive Fated Engram he brings with him. This gives you a single Exotic from the limited pool of ones you haven't already earned, for the price of 97 Legendary shards. If there's something you're missing from your collection and you want it sooner rather than later, it can be a good deal--starting with the Season of Dawn, all Exotic Engrams are Fated Engrams, but you'll have to level up your Season Pass or wait for a random drop to get some. Be sure to purchase it on the character who's missing the Exotic, and note that you can only get one per week, so choose wisely which of your characters makes the buy. If you're a PC or Xbox One player taking advantage of cross-save, you can now potentially get Wavesplitter from the Fated Engram as well, thanks to the fact that it's no longer exclusive to PS4.

Xur Item Lineup (February 28-March 3)

  • Sunshot (Exotic hand cannon)
  • Dunemarchers (Exotic Titan leg armor)
  • Eye of Another World (Exotic Warlock helmet)
  • Aeon Swift (Exotic Hunter gauntlets)

Sunshot

Sunshot is handy for dishing out big explosions against enemies, and its tracking features make it useful in the Crucible.

Sunshot is a powerful hand cannon that dishes out explosions, giving it a lot of utility. You'll often see it popping up in the Crucible because it can do a lot of damage and fire relatively quickly, with the added bonus of explosive ammunition that can damage multiple opponents at once. You get a second explosion from kills you make with Sunshot for even more splash damage. Explosion damage also highlights targets, so if you fire it into a crowd, you can hurt lots of opponents at once while gaining useful tracking information. Blowing up baddies is also pretty great in PvE, which makes Sunshot a handy weapon in most scenarios.

Dunemarchers (Titan)

Running and punching are even more effective for Titans wearing Dunemarchers.
Running and punching are even more effective for Titans wearing Dunemarchers.

Dunemarchers are for Titans who like speed and melee attacks. The leg armor boosts your sprint speed, and the more you run, the more you build up a static charge. Wallop somebody with a melee attack and you'll release that static Arc energy, which will then chain to other nearby enemies. If you like punching people in either PvE or PvP, give Dunemarchers a shot.

Eye Of Another World (Warlock)

Eye of Another World tracks priority enemies while also charging all of your abilities more quickly.

Another useful Exotic for the Crucible, Eye of Another World helps Warlocks lock in on enemies quickly. It highlights priority targets to help you zero in on enemies. More useful, though, is the fact the Exotic buffs your ability regeneration, helping you to quickly get more grenades, melee strikes, and Rifts. And as Xur Exotics go, this one has pretty good stat numbers at a total of 52.

Nobody uses the Aeon Cult Exotics, but in case you want to, you can buff your team's abilities recharges with your Hunter dodge.

The Hunter Aeon cult Exotic is all about team support. Whenever you're near allies, executing a dodge will give grenade energy to Warlocks, dodge energy to Hunters, and melee energy to Titans. If your team is also wearing Aeon Exotics, they get an even bigger boost (but unfortunately, nobody uses these).
