Cherry, Cherry, Lara Croft? Eidos Interactive today announced that it has licensed the rights to two of its franchises to Microgaming, an online casino software specialist. Hitman: Blood Money and Tomb Raider: Legend will become themes for online and "land-based" video slot machines. Tomb Raider has already appeared on slots, but the new machines will focus on the latest installment of the series. Lara will also appear on mobile phone slot games, courtesy of Spin3, a wireless casino game provider.

thats a stupid idea, but its good news and money for eidos. microgaming should have considering using lara and agent 47 for advertising their software or slot machines or something like that. that makes more sense to me.

Heck, there was a Mario-based slot machine game in Super Mario 64 DS, and that seemed pretty fun. Then again, you WERE playing with Mushroom Kingdom coins. Anyway, the point is that no arcade in Europe will ever recieve them. Most UK arcades are lucky to have anything newer than Time Crisis 2.

All slot machines are the same thing, a computer with a random number generator. Doesnt matter if it has troll, trucks, angels or now Lara Croft graphics. Still just a computer and a hope for all the luck in the world.

"i'd rather they made tomb raider and hitman Toothbrushes, but you know...next best thing" agreed. they could say cool phrases like 'plaque eliminated' or something.

I know that if I were in Vegas, I would play a slot machine that appealed to my preferred brand-recognition. I'd pick Blood Money Slots before I'd consider Genero-Diamond Machine 27.

Neat stuff, but does it sound like it'll cater more to the younger casino players than the older adults? I think so. Then again, it was casino winnings that got me my Original Xbox, albeit the 3-card Poker table games, not the slot machine; either that, or playing the racehorses.

Not a bad idea. I'd play some Hitman slots at a casino...although I'd still much rather play the tables.

Are you kidding me? I would have expected Konami to use more its IPs since they also do one-armed bandits.
