Lando Calrissian Is Getting His Own Star Wars Disney+ Show
The Disney Investor Day revealed the galaxy's favorite scoundrel is coming back.
It has been a huge day for Star Wars fans thanks to the Disney Investor Day, like learning about the new Cassian Andor TV show. However, one of the biggest surprises was the announcement of a Lando Calrissian event series coming to Disney+.
The show is in the early stages of development, as revealed by Kathleen Kennedy. It's coming from Justin Simien, who is known for his work on the feature film and Netflix series Dear White People.

Details are scarce aside from that, and it is unknown when the show will take place in the Star Wars timeline or who will play the role of the titular character. Most famously, Billy Dee Williams played the role in The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and in The Rise of Skywalker.
In 2018, Atlanta's Donald Glover took on a younger version of the character for Solo: A Star Wars story, and his portrayal of the character left many Star Wars fans wanting more.
As for the rest of Star Wars, there is a lot more coming. Ahsoka Tano is one of the two new show announcements coming to Disney+, and we were given a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming show Andor, following the character from Rogue One.
