PAN Interactive's upcoming role-playing game Legends of the North: Konung will be published in North America by Strategy First, according to an announcement made by the two companies. The game is in development at the Russian studio 1C Company, and it features action-style role-playing in more than 60 nonlinear quests. The world of Konung is based on a combination of history and mythology, and it is populated by three cultures: the Slavics, the Byzantines, and the Vikings. The game features some strategy elements as well, including real-time combat, resource management, and building.

Konung supports 800x600 resolution and includes real-time lighting effects, day/night cycles, real-time artificial intelligence, and a variety of nonplayer characters, many of which are able to join the player's party. In addition, some monsters can join the player's party. More than 100 items are found in the game, some of which can be altered with magical effects and other enhancements, and 50 artifacts are included as well, possessing abilities such as teleportation and resurrection. The game uses a simple point-and-click interface to appeal to players of all skill levels.

No official US release date has been set for Legends of the North: Konung.
