Konami of America today announced a cross-promotion with Playmates Toys based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle license.

The agreement stipulates that Playmates Toys will package secret game codes in more than 1.2 million TMNT action figures. The codes unlock special features in multiple versions of Konami's TMNT game.

Also, Playmates Toys will release action figures based on characters introduced into the TMNT universe by Konami's game: they are the Foot Gunner, scheduled for release this December, and Evil Turtlebot and Giant Mouser, scheduled for release next spring.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Game Boy Advance and GameCube, PC, PS2 and Xbox is scheduled for release on October 21.
