Solid Snake's tour of Europe includes Duel Mode, Demo Theatre, and new face paint schemes.

It seems there are some advantages in coming last. Already released in North America and Japan to wide retail and critical success, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will finally show itself in Europe on March 4 for the PlayStation 2. The PAL version will ship with new features unavailable in the previously released versions.

The European version of Metal Gear Solid 3 will feature three bonus modes. Duel Mode will let users play each boss battle in succession, without having to complete entire levels. Demo Theatre shows all the cinematics in order, making it easier to piece together the twisting storyline. A new European extreme difficulty mode has been added for the most experienced MGS3 players looking for a real challenge. Other additions include two new levels in the Snake vs. Monkey mode and new face paint designs, including the winning entries in Konami's Camouflage Creation Competition.

Series creator Hideo Kojima has traditionally added bonus features to the PAL versions of Metal Gear Solid games. For Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Europeans gamers received a bonus DVD detailing the game's creation.
