Mark Cerny, the PlayStation 4's lead architect, has joined Twitter. And his first tweet was something special. As you can see, Cerny is currently meeting with Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima and the pair will spend the next 10 days traveling together. According to a tweet from Kojima Productions producer Ken-ichiro Imaizumi, Cerny and Kojima are embarking on a "high-end technology tour," the purpose of which was not disclosed.

Cerny is only following 11 people right now, including PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida, Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann, Kojima, Doom creator John Romero, and filmmaker Guillermo del Toro.

Kojima tweeted about the "world tour" as well, saying he's seeking out the "newest technology."

It's possible that Kojima is referring to a new game engine to run Kojima Productions' upcoming PS4 and PC game. The Fox Engine, which was used for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, belongs to Konami. Back in December, Kojima said he was undecided about what engine his new game would use.

We'll have more on the Kojima/Cerny world tour as new information becomes available.

Ending months of speculation, Kojima officially exited Konami in December. His new studio is called Kojima Productions, which was the name of his studio while he worked for Konami. For more on Kojima's split from Konami and his ambitions for his new game, check out this post.
