TimeGate Studios has released new information about the factions found in Kohan: Immortal Sovereigns. The real-time strategy game is set in a fantasy world long after a race of immortal beings, known as the Kohan, has been almost completely destroyed by a great catastrophe. Players assume the role of one of the remaining Kohan in a quest to return the race to its former glory.

In the game, players choose from one of four different factions: the Royalists, the Ceyahs, the Nationalists, and the Councils. Each faction has its own special characteristics and units. The units each have different strengths and weaknesses, and they cater to different strategies and tactics.

The Royalists have an advanced resource management system that lets them produce raw materials quickly, and as a result they have become very skilled at building units and creating weaponry. Ceyahs are better at city defenses, due to a unique city architecture that integrates corner towers and watchtowers into the cities themselves. This makes it difficult to attack and destroy their cities. Nationalists have better networking skills that give them a larger supply radius than the other factions. This gives them the advantage of faster unit deployment. The Councils are skilled at building efficiently and quickly. This faction can develop settlements into cities for a much lower cost than the other factions.
