TimeGate Studios and Strategy First have signed a North American distribution agreement for the real-time strategy game Kohan, which will be released in April 2001. The game is set in a fantasy world, and the Kohans are immortals who are repeatedly subjected to mysterious twists of fate. The game has over 40 different unit types, which players will use to help the Kohan solve their mysteries and to lead the race back to their once glorious power.

In particular, players must compose companies using these different units according to the situation, terrain, and assignment. These companies may consist of a maximum of seven units - four combat units, two support units, and one commander or hero. For example, the combat units consist of sword fighters and lancers. Units consisting of archers, priests, or magicians will support these squads. In addition, heroes play a special role: Each appears once, and each has its own unique characteristics and abilities. Heroes can improve their abilities during the course of play, and this allows them to gain more experience, which they can then pass on to members of their groups in the form of combat bonuses.
